RedBubble Duvet Cover Review ****
As mentioned in the previous post, we ordered a couple of items from RedBubble and Zazzle. Here's our review of the Redbubble duvet cover:
Although we weren’t as pleased as we’d hoped to be with the print quality on this duvet (the actual print is very good, but the picture didn’t come out as well when increased in size for the Queen duvet), we have to recommend RedBubble duvet covers in general, and we’ll definitely be ordering more (although we’ll probably stick to multiple images, rather than one big, single one in future).
The duvets come in a snazzy plastic, zip-up case, which was an unexpected bonus. The printing is very strong and the fabric quality is excellent – very robust but lovely and soft. They’re also zipped covers, which is so much better than the loose opening, or popper ones we usually get. The only problem from a UK buyer’s point of view is the sizes; it’s true a Queen size is about right for a standard UK double bed, but it’s still a bit bigger than most duvet inserts. Still, considering the price of the duvets, we weren’t disappointed. We definitely recommend duvet purchases from RedBubble!
We brought this when there was a special price offer on, which we would definitely recommend doing if you are interested in purchasing a duvet from RedBubble. They may be worth the price in terms of qualitity, but with postage as well, it can be a bit much. We placed the order on March 21st 2015, and it came on 9th April 2015, so that's 19 days including Sundays, which is not too bad for printing and postage from abroad.
Overall, we're giving this experience 4 starts out of 5 just because our image wasn't as strong as we'd hoped; that's perhaps not RedBubble's fault, but it does suggest their website images can't always be relied on to show exactly what the product will look like on arrival.
